Installation of Telecommunications infrastructure
Digital Connection Co. Ltd. DCL Telecom Division is a versatile unit that can handle independently all sorts of telecommunication activities. The telecommunication division has the support of experienced management and manpower enabling it to take up the challenge of the increasing demand of the Saudi Arabian Market for telecom construction, supply, and engineering.
- Construction: DCL started as a communication construction company. At the initial stage, major projects signed with Saudi Aramco were typical long-haul fiber network projects. There were several other short-form projects completed with Saudi Aramco.
- Trading: Trading activity was added recently to the DCL portfolio. The vast experience in construction encouraged DCL management to enter the Telecom trading market
- Engineering & Supervision: The experienced staff of DCL is currently engaged in supervision and design verification activities with various companies and ministries. This activity has been streamlined into a proper section and dedicated staff has been assigned to meet the needs of the market.
- DCL ISP & OSP Communication Construction DCL has established itself as the prime contractor for the communication ISP and OSP market. This achievement was possible due to the superior knowledge, management, and Quality awareness of DCL staff. DCL has been completed. DCL signed its first major contract with Saudi Aramco at the end of 2003. The project was under Saudi Aramco BI 3988. The project scope was to install Saudi Aramco backbone 48 core Fiber cable from Rastanura to Uthmaniya with connections to Qurayah from Abqaiq. The total length of the cable laid was 340 Km. DCL performed trenching, rock breaking, cable pulling, and backfilling along the complete route as per Saudi Aramco Standards. Fiber Cable splicing and testing were performed for the installed cable. OTDR, Power meter/Light source, PMD, and CD tests were performed by DCL technicians and engineers for this project. The project was completed in March 2005.
